National Cancer Institute - AsiaLymph

The National Cancer Institute is performing an advanced epidemiology study in the fight against Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). NHL has been increasing world-wide in developed and developing countries. Large-scale molecular epidemiological studies in North America, Europe, and Australia(i.e. Western countries) have studied the etiology of NHL using state-of-the-art approaches to exposure assessment.

Data Scientists Pty Ltd provide support to the AsiaLymph study with the advanced technology for performing computer assisted personal interview (CAPI). This system incorporates an occupational history data collection system (OccIdeas) to ascertain occupational, family, medical, and residential histories. Specific exposure modules in the CAPI will be triggered in response to certain combinations of industry and job title for certain types of occupational solvents (e.g., benzene, OCs, TCE).

Data Scientists Pty Ltd provide key services in the implementation an support of this technology infrastructure which has been reported to consequently decrease the time between end of data capture and publication by a year or more.
